Society of Saint Vincent de Paul

Your ongoing support is needed and greatly appreciated as we strive to help those in our community struggling with meeting their basic needs. In addition to emergency assistance (see below for details) we provide help in a variety of ways.

Due to the pandemic we are no longer collecting donations in person after mass however:

We are offering 2 ways to donate:

 1) Online, the much preferred way with no requirement for masks, safe distancing, etc.

On-line donations via Canada Helps: donations made through this new link will be send directly to our parish SSVP account and can be made using a credit card or PayPal.

 2) Cash or cheque with SSVP envelopes.  Envelopes are available at each mass at the greeter desk and are in all Offertory envelop boxes for those who use them.

Please return envelopes during mass times or drop off at the church during regular office hours.

NOTE All cheques must be made payable to:  SOCIETY OF SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL

The bank will not accept variations of this (short forms, alternate spelling etc)

Emergency Assistance Available

The activity of the Society is always based on love of neighbour in the local community.  All calls are confidential. If you need help, please call us at 905-522-8222.

During this Covid19 Pandemic, The Saint Vincent de Paul Society continues to reach out to those in need in our parish community. Donations are needed on an ongoing basis to continue to help as many people as possible and are accepted in the following ways:

Cash/Cheque donations: there are now generic SSVP envelopes located in the narthex by the Greeter Table which are available on a regular basis. The last weekend of each month is a special focus for these collections with the envelopes available near our banner and an offertory basket (this replaces our volunteer collectors during this time of the pandemic).

On-line donations via Canada Helps: donations made through this new link will be send directly to our parish SSVP account and can be made using a credit card or PayPal.

If you are donating for the Angel Tree program, you can designate your donation to “Angel Tree (Christmas)” in the box titled “Apply your donation to a fund set up by this charity”.

Please follow this link which takes you directly to the Canada Helps webpage specifically for our parish SSVP council:   DONATE NOW
Please note donors who complete the name and address portion of donation page will be issued
a charitable tax receipt from Canada Helps directly.
