DISMAS' PLEA
(formerly Prayer Circle for Prisoners)

From the earliest days of the Church the ‘good thief’ who was crucified with Jesus has been known by the name Dismas. His plea, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.” (Luke 23:42) is our plea. The Prayer Circle for Prisoners group are changing our name to Dismas’ Plea to better reflect our growing recognition that prisoners are not just behind bars.

Whether seafarers, slaves or those imprisoned by addictions or mental health issues there are many common feelings and experiences. Our group will continue to educate ourselves on these issues and attempt to raise awareness of these matters in our community. We will also continue to pray together for all prisoner’s needs. We invite you to join us every third Monday of the month at 7:00 PM.

If you are unable to attend but are interested in praying for the prisoners, the monthly intentions are available in the narthex. Please feel free to take a copy and join us in prayer.

All Meetings are in the Conference Room and start at 7:00 PM
